I placed my seeds in previously purchased peat pots and then placed them in an aluminum pan. These pans are cheap and come with a plastic top. By placing the germinating seeds in the pan with the plastic top, you lock in the moisture and the ambient warmth of your home.
Once the seeds start to sprout place under led or incandescent lights and now you have a mini greenhouse; full of light, warmth and humidity!
If you are trying to keep things cost effective, you don’t really need a grow light yet, as you the seeds just need the moisture and warmth. But you can upgrade and place under a grow light once you have seedlings, it’s your choice.
Hope this hack helps you in your gardening adventures! If you try this method make sure to let me know how it turns out for you in the comments!
